THE SALTBOX FALL EDIT
Designs catching my eye right now
Fall always stirs a shift for me toward warmth, layered textures, and pieces that feel rich in tone and character. This season, my eye is drawn to warm linens, burled woods, plush velvets, iron accents, and those grounding shades of brown that anchor a room. I’m softening it all with silky whites and silver to keep things elevated and a little unexpected (in case you’re wondering, I am also a proponent of white pants in the fall).
Here’s what I’m pinning for future projects, and for my own home, right now:
Statement Seating: The Palazzo Sofa
I’ve been eyeing the Palazzo sofa from House of Leon for months and I’m itching to place it in a project. The proportions, the low-slung silhouette, and that sculptural base make it a modern classic that brings presence without overwhelming a space.
Jeremiah Brent x Crate & Barrel
Crate keeps the hard hitting collabs coming. I love everything Jeremiah Brent does, and this collection is no exception - it feels thoughtful and soulful but of course, super accessible with the Crate price point. From furniture to great sculptural accents, the pieces layer seamlessly into both modern and traditional homes. These sconces are particularly soft and romantic, and I love how they balance and elevate the deeper browns that feel right for fall.
Rose Tarlow Textiles
There’s nothing like the depth and subtlety of Rose Tarlow fabrics. The weaves feel storied, almost antique, and they bring an effortless sense of history to a space. Perfect for pillows, upholstery, or that one accent chair that deserves special treatment.
Huey Lighting
I’m drawn to Huey’s sculptural fixtures that blur the line between functional and artistic. They feel like jewelry for a room. I am currently trying to make a case for bringing this beauty into my own home.
Louise Roe Vessels
Louise Roe’s vessels are little works of art. This chrome tray in particular adds just the right amount of edge to an otherwise earthy palette.
Burlwood Always
Burlwood furniture has no season to me, and it’s a material I love to incorporate into nearly all of my projects, though it feels especially right in fall. Timeless and a little bit funky, it adds both richness and personality to a room.
Iron Accents
I’ve been especially drawn to wrought-iron accents and lighting. The material feels stately and established, while mixing easily with other metals. It provides a timeless counterbalance to softer fabrics and woods. Wicker adds warmth to the mix, as seen in these chairs I’m loving for indoor or outdoor dining.
Vintage Chests
Let’s be real, this isn’t just a fall thing, it’s an every season must for me. I try to use vintage chests in nearly every project because they’re endlessly versatile and add so much character. The craftsmanship, patina, and proportions always bring an instant sense of heritage, and they work in almost any room: as a nightstand, an entry anchor, or extra storage in a living space. They’re one of those timeless pieces that elevates everything around them.
See all of my fall picks here. Each of these pieces carries that lived-in quality I always aim to achieve in a space; the mix of warmth, texture, and history that makes a room feel complete.
